Abstractions: Call for Art

MHG is thrilled to announce an open call for our upcoming exhibition, "Abstractions." We invite artists to submit their most compelling abstract pieces that explore the limitless potential of shapes, colors, and forms, focusing on concepts that exist purely as ideas. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your work in our unique gallery space, celebrating the intangible and conceptual, and be part of a vibrant artistic community.

Eligibility:

Artists from all backgrounds and disciplines are invited to submit their interpretations of interior spaces. We are interested in works created in the last 3 years, in the following mediums:

  • Painting

  • Drawings

  • Printmaking

  • Sculpture

  • Textiles

  • Installation

  • Mixed Media

  • Photography

"Abstractions" seeks to delve into the essence of abstract art, inviting artists to explore the limitless potential of shapes, colors, and forms. We are looking for works that challenge traditional perceptions, evoke emotions, and ignite the imagination through non-representational techniques, focusing on concepts that exist purely as ideas. The aim is to celebrate the diversity and freedom inherent in abstract art, offering a fresh perspective on visual expression by showcasing artworks that embody the intangible and the conceptual.


Submission Guidelines:

  • Artwork Images: Submit high-resolution images of up to 3 artworks. Submissions should include high-quality images or documentation of the artwork (JPEG, PNG, or PDF format, minimum 300 dpi).

  • Artist Statement: Include a brief artist statement that describes your approach to abstract art and the inspiration behind your submitted pieces.

  • Artists may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration.

  • Include a brief artist statement or description explaining the work and its connection to the theme.
