BLOOM theory
Submission Deadline: June 30, 2026
Metal Haus Gallery is pleased to announce an open call for Bloom Theory, a juried group exhibition exploring floral imagery in contemporary art.
Flowers have long served as symbols of growth, beauty, change, and renewal. Bloom Theory brings together artists who use floral imagery to explore these themes through painting, sculpture, fiber, and mixed media. From lush botanical scenes to abstract interpretations, the exhibition celebrates the many forms a bloom can take.
We invite artists to submit original works inspired by flowers and the ideas they represent. Whether your work focuses on gardens, wildflowers, petals, abundance, transformation, or the fleeting nature of a bloom, we welcome a wide range of approaches. While floral imagery should be clearly present, both representational and abstract interpretations are encouraged.
Selected artists will exhibit their work at Metal Haus Gallery in San Francisco alongside a curated group of emerging and established contemporary artists.
