About the Artwork

Ambidextrous #5 is a vivid meditation on memory, duality, and inherited creativity. Painted simultaneously with both hands, the work’s layered blue background evokes a dreamlike depth—fluid, rhythmic, and softly disorienting, like memory in motion.

Three orange marks bloom on the surface—each a quiet symbol of the artist’s late grandmother, a fellow painter who once filled her canvases with flowers. This ongoing motif appears across the series as a tribute to her influence and the shared language of gesture, memory, and color that continues to bind them.

About the Artist

Lucas Antony is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice reflects his life in motion—traveling the world, collecting color, and distilling memory into form. Known for his signature blue-and-orange palette, Antony draws on the contrast between serenity and intensity, sky and flame, memory and presence.

The Ambidextrous series is one of his most personal projects to date: a tribute to his grandmother, his earliest creative influence, and a period of childhood that shaped how he paints today—with both hands, from both sides of memory.

Each work becomes a quiet act of homage, blending instinct with control, and past with present.
